[Dinner is over and it's time to fully comprehend everything that's been said. You're stuck in this school whether you like it or not, but that doesn't mean you can't... try to enjoy yourself while you're here.
[She feels bad to even think of doing such a thing to anyone, for no reason. Pretty much the only way to be in her bad side is if you prove to be a hopelessly mad person or if you stalk her extensively, haha]
Let's see... [Oh! Maybe she can do this something nice] You were interested in the plants, right? Have you done gardening before?
[The information of How To Garden does not, alas, get beamed into her head. So gotta work from what she knows.
Apparently what she knows is water. Plants need water to grow! She surprises herself by turning from the courtyard and heading in an inside-ward direction. It's...not what she was thinking of doing, and yet, it feels natural, like she had.]
Oh my! I suppose I'm off to find a bucket of some sort and hope the water's healthy enough for these! This is a little strange...
[Ahaha, nice. Looks like it's all so natural she didn't even question it. Sonia isn't sure how to feel about it, but she's relieved to see it's not turning others into mindless zombies following her word or anything]
If it's any consolation, plants tend to be rather tough. They should be okay with almost any water.
Well...give me a couple minutes and I'm sure these plants will all be freshly watered!
Oh! [She turns again, but is now walking backwards, and raises her voice since she's still just walking!! away!! to get supplies!!] And maybe we can figure out how to bring some of these flowers inside where they'll brighten up the place!
[Instead of, you know, mold, or tree branches encroaching inside where they don't belong.]
[She looks thoughtful about that but says nothing more, popping back inside with as little tripping as possible for several minutes. A whole functional bucket might be a bit much to ask for, but there are empty cans of food, and those will work just as well.
So when she does return to the courtyard, she's clutching a couple cans full of water to her and sets them down gently, going about pouring some along the plants she can see. But more importantly!:]
Then it seems silly to compare it to an oyster. There's not much you can do with it, right? It's...hm. It's one of those creatures with the shells, right? And opens up like a mouth?
Oh, but there are probably a lot of sayings that sound silly to people who haven't heard them before.

[She's kind of wondering if Maria suddenly would turn competent at gardening just because she received such an order]

[As long as it's not pure poison, at least!]

[So to say!]

Why would a school be like an oyster?

[She says, completely unsure if she even used that saying correctly]
