ORIENTATION
[When you start to stir from your slumber, you awaken to the smell of dust and rotted wood. Your bed is far from comfortable -- lumps in the mattress, a tattered blanket that barely keeps you warm and a pillow almost as hard as a rock-- and you'll immediately see there are others in your room with you.
All of you are confused, surely. "Where am I?" "What place is this?" Questions like that stir through your mind while you take in your surroundings. Something might catch your eye before anything else, though. A coloured chest tied with a bow, a large gift tag is attached to it with your name on it. There's one for everyone in each dorm, and if you open it you'll find:
An old, worn school uniform.
A colourful costume.
And a pamphlet with information about you, about your stay in this Academy, and a map of the layout of the school and the training grounds outside. The descriptions are vague, leaving out important details about your new super powers called "Quirks", a bland description about how you were selected to join the Academy called "VA" (no explanation what it means), and even the map has lame descriptions of locations that don't really give you a good idea of where you're staying.
Before you can start exploring, or chatting away with your neighbors, a voice rings over old intercoms. It sounds low and comforting, like a long lost friend. But there's something about that that feels.. unsettling. A feeling in your gut that this voice was anything but friendly.
"Welcome, students. You must be very confused, but I assure you I'll be able to answer all the questions you have in just a few minutes.
For now, relax, explore, and meet your new classmates who will be staying with you during this semester.
Oh, but..... whatever you do, don't enter the dining room."
The intercom cuts off, leaving you with a cryptic message to think about on top of.. everything else you're dealing with right now.]

Hey there! The flowers sure do look a lot nicer than what's on the inside here, don't they?
Re: B
Hello! Indeed they are. They are probably the only thing truly thriving on this property. I was hoping to find out why, perhaps there is a reason.
[He gestures to the flowers, focusing on them like they have all the answers yet again]
Like if they are thriving on their own. Or is someone coming here to take care of them? In which case, who? The person on the intercom? Or perhaps... I am thinking too much into it. Probably.
[He's hoping that his words didn't seem too strange or off putting for being so inquisitive about... well, everything. He was sure his communication and social functions were still working properly but with his coding such a mess after activation, he couldn't say for certain... Introductions! Of course, introductions usually helped.]
My name his Connor. I'm the android sent by Cyberlife to assist the Detroit Police Department. My model is made to assist investigations so I hope I can put my skills to good use and figure a way out for everyone stuck here. I hope we can all work together to solve this case. It's nice to meet you!
[Connor puts on his best 'human' smile, hoping the knowledge of him not being a 'live' person wasn't just as off putting as being stuck in some rotting mystery academy.]
no subject
Would you believe me if I told you that you are the second android I've met today?
[Or, second one calling themselves an android, at the very least. It's not something he's going to question since to do so ends up on a tangent that's inescapable.]
And Detroit...that's in America, right? That's very far from my neck of the woods in Japan, but it's nice to meet you all the same! My name is Mirio Togata.
no subject
Mirio. Again it's nice to meet you. And yes, Detroit is in the U.S. Though, perhaps we still are? Or maybe we're not... Maybe we're not even on Earth anymore. Everything I was programmed to know, the laws of physics, science, the ways of the world... They seem to not add up with what is happening here.
[He frowns in thought. He was most definitely not pouting. Androids don't pout when frustrated. They don't get frustrated. They don't feel. He gets a notice about his software instability rising and Connor quickly ignores it for more talking.]
Where I come from for example, we don't have 'quirks'. Super powers only belong in human made fiction. The same with magic. Just very advanced science and autonomous machinery. So I suppose I am a bit... confused. Does any of this situation make more sense to you Mirio?
