ORIENTATION
[When you start to stir from your slumber, you awaken to the smell of dust and rotted wood. Your bed is far from comfortable -- lumps in the mattress, a tattered blanket that barely keeps you warm and a pillow almost as hard as a rock-- and you'll immediately see there are others in your room with you.
All of you are confused, surely. "Where am I?" "What place is this?" Questions like that stir through your mind while you take in your surroundings. Something might catch your eye before anything else, though. A coloured chest tied with a bow, a large gift tag is attached to it with your name on it. There's one for everyone in each dorm, and if you open it you'll find:
An old, worn school uniform.
A colourful costume.
And a pamphlet with information about you, about your stay in this Academy, and a map of the layout of the school and the training grounds outside. The descriptions are vague, leaving out important details about your new super powers called "Quirks", a bland description about how you were selected to join the Academy called "VA" (no explanation what it means), and even the map has lame descriptions of locations that don't really give you a good idea of where you're staying.
Before you can start exploring, or chatting away with your neighbors, a voice rings over old intercoms. It sounds low and comforting, like a long lost friend. But there's something about that that feels.. unsettling. A feeling in your gut that this voice was anything but friendly.
"Welcome, students. You must be very confused, but I assure you I'll be able to answer all the questions you have in just a few minutes.
For now, relax, explore, and meet your new classmates who will be staying with you during this semester.
Oh, but..... whatever you do, don't enter the dining room."
The intercom cuts off, leaving you with a cryptic message to think about on top of.. everything else you're dealing with right now.]

[Swim Swim wakes up earlier than everyone else, hiding completely under her blanket as soon as she sees the others. She's on a top bunk, so this manages to conceal her. She's so quiet, it may not even seem like there's another roomie up there.
It's not until she reads everything that she makes a decision. She's addressed by her Magical Girl name in this, so she needs to assume that form. Fortunately the vague description was enough that she understood it, and so here she is... sitting up finally, with pink curls and a white swimsuit. Now she's got to make sure no one saw that. First, she picks up her pillow. With that, she jumps off the side of the bed, landing easily, and peering at her sleeping roommates, utterly silent. This may be a creepy thing to wake up to while the announcement starts.]
for everyone else;
[Swim Swim is very obedient in not heading to the dining room, although she would like breakfast, so kitchen is where she's at first. Dried food seems like the easiest to eat - she's just going to sit here, crunching on instant ramen straight out of the package. Yum.
Then later she'll do some actual exploring and find the pool. You knew this was coming. She's just staring at it with deep regret. Why would someone do this.
Overall though her calm expression and demeanor make it seem like she is pretty accepting of this situation. Bit odd when they've all been kidnapped, isn't it? Also, she is still very much in a swimsuit, so that's weird.]
Sorry about the pool.
Urgh, what a waste. I'm fairly sure this entire facility's been left to rot.
:(
Is this really a school...? I have never seen one this dirty.
[With that, she'll turn and look the guy over. The main thing that surprises her is the mark above his eye. Is that a facial tattoo???]

All these thoughts he keeps to himself. As much as he wants to ask, there's something more dire to address.]
It must have been one, I guess, but it clearly hasn't been used in some time. Why we would all be summoned here all of a sudden is beyond me.
no subject
You were summoned here too? ...I thought you were going to say you're a teacher here.
[I mean, it's the conclusion one would make if you see an adult in a school. If you're taking things very literally.]
no subject
[Seriously, only beggars would want to teach in this dump.]
no subject
[she makes a small 'hm' noise, considering it further.]
This is a problem. Still, I will do my best to rescue you, so bear with me.
[Swim turns toward the building and jumps. It's a pretty good jump, showing clear athleticism, but still not enough to get her to the roof of the building, so she lands on her feet.]
...
[well, that's not going to work here, apparently.]

Girl Room B
O-Oh. I'm sorry, you startled me. I didn't expect to see someone so soon.
[She is assuming this is Future Foundation related. The survivors were supposed to leave the simulation, after all. This has to be after that]
no subject
Mm. That's okay, but... you were actually expecting someone?
[Unfortunately, this is not the Super High School Level Swimmer you are looking for.]
no subject
[It just seemed like it'd be the polite thing to do.
Sonia looks around. This is a room shared with other people...full of people she doesn't know, not a trace of those she does know. Perhaps she got moved after being taken out of the simulation?]
Where am I?
no subject
I'm not sure yet. I just woke up here myself... but that announcement just said we're students. A new semester is starting.
[She's kind of going with this for now.]
no subject
[Hearing that they're students and a new semester is starting seems to have alarmed Sonia a lot, as her immediate thought was Hope's Peak. She jumped off the bed, really not liking what she was hearing -- things were definitely starting to look like something went very wrong during their departure from the Neo World Program]
no subject
I'm not sure... Why? Do you know something about it?

roomies
Hi. She's been up this whole time, too. ]
no subject
She's surprised to see so many people already awake though.]
...Good morning.
no subject
[ Okay, maybe she's not "little" but she's younger and smaller than Junko and cute and is awakening her repressed mom instincts. ]
no subject
Swim Swim. I'm a magical girl... [Junko kinda looks like one too actually, with her blonde hair and especially the red eyes.]
Are you one as well?
no subject
Me? Oh, no, no. I am a divine spirit.
no subject
[There's a bunch of them in stories, so.]

kitchen;
...Are you actually enjoying eating that?
no subject
Yes... You crunch up the noodles in the bag and shake the flavor into them. It's like eating chips... good.
[Admittedly not the most healthy breakfast though.]
no subject
But you didn't even put water in them? Aren't you supposed to, with noodles?
[ He's just so curious about the oddity of it all, that he just has to ask. ]
no subject
[There's a beat, as her eyes shift to whatever they have that passes for a stove. Admittedly there are no written details on this yet but given the rest of the setting would you assume it looks safe.]
I'm also a bit nervous about using that...
no subject
...Did you think it might explode?
[ He supposes it's not without worry. ]
no subject
That would be very bad, wouldn't it... There's more of these if you want some.
