ORIENTATION
[When you start to stir from your slumber, you awaken to the smell of dust and rotted wood. Your bed is far from comfortable -- lumps in the mattress, a tattered blanket that barely keeps you warm and a pillow almost as hard as a rock-- and you'll immediately see there are others in your room with you.
All of you are confused, surely. "Where am I?" "What place is this?" Questions like that stir through your mind while you take in your surroundings. Something might catch your eye before anything else, though. A coloured chest tied with a bow, a large gift tag is attached to it with your name on it. There's one for everyone in each dorm, and if you open it you'll find:
An old, worn school uniform.
A colourful costume.
And a pamphlet with information about you, about your stay in this Academy, and a map of the layout of the school and the training grounds outside. The descriptions are vague, leaving out important details about your new super powers called "Quirks", a bland description about how you were selected to join the Academy called "VA" (no explanation what it means), and even the map has lame descriptions of locations that don't really give you a good idea of where you're staying.
Before you can start exploring, or chatting away with your neighbors, a voice rings over old intercoms. It sounds low and comforting, like a long lost friend. But there's something about that that feels.. unsettling. A feeling in your gut that this voice was anything but friendly.
"Welcome, students. You must be very confused, but I assure you I'll be able to answer all the questions you have in just a few minutes.
For now, relax, explore, and meet your new classmates who will be staying with you during this semester.
Oh, but..... whatever you do, don't enter the dining room."
The intercom cuts off, leaving you with a cryptic message to think about on top of.. everything else you're dealing with right now.]

[ EASY THERE. ]
Klaus.
[ Klaus offers a smile and holds out his hand, but quickly, he retracts it back. ]
Uh, sorry. My new power saps the life out of people. I mean, that’s what the pamphlet said. I wouldn’t want to hurt you.. android guy or not.
[ Though, his power would probably be ineffective to an android. Who knows. ]
Not really. We just have talking monkeys instead.

So, you don't know if you really have the quirk or not? I suppose I am a bit more skeptical to believe anything. Such 'super powers' are impossible where I come from. But with such a power given to you, I suppose it would be wise best not to test that theory.
[He gives a human like shrug and leaves it at that. He decides not to bring up that he most likely didn't have any life to sap from in the first place. He was after all, just a machine. But past recorded memories of his police partner getting uncomfortable with such talk, kept him from doing it yet again. So, he simply changed the topic.]
Have you explored the grounds much? I haven't left the main building yet but so far I've yet to find any notable clues. Oh! Well it's not so much a clue but an amusing observation that I had activated in my assigned dorm room which happens to be a spare girls dorm. Not sure why I have a bed, I don't sleep after all.
[He was rambling. He knows he's rambling. But he's not use to this. Just talking, for once not about his assigned case from Cyberlife. Small talk was definitely not a feature he was programmed for. Connor wonders mildly if humans could pick up on that.]

[ Upon further analysis, Connor may see that Klaus seems rather gaunt, his blood polluted with all kinds of drugs, and a set of dog tags hang from his neck, sporting someone else’s name on them. ]
Also, I shook my room mate’s hand and felt some kind of— man, I don’t know. A hit? Something nice. I guess I can’t really touch people.
[ As Connor goes on, Klaus’ lips remain upturned. ]
Hey, me too! We must have just missed each other. That muscle kid is the other person staying with us. But yeah, I haven’t done much adventuring.
