ORIENTATION
[When you start to stir from your slumber, you awaken to the smell of dust and rotted wood. Your bed is far from comfortable -- lumps in the mattress, a tattered blanket that barely keeps you warm and a pillow almost as hard as a rock-- and you'll immediately see there are others in your room with you.
All of you are confused, surely. "Where am I?" "What place is this?" Questions like that stir through your mind while you take in your surroundings. Something might catch your eye before anything else, though. A coloured chest tied with a bow, a large gift tag is attached to it with your name on it. There's one for everyone in each dorm, and if you open it you'll find:
An old, worn school uniform.
A colourful costume.
And a pamphlet with information about you, about your stay in this Academy, and a map of the layout of the school and the training grounds outside. The descriptions are vague, leaving out important details about your new super powers called "Quirks", a bland description about how you were selected to join the Academy called "VA" (no explanation what it means), and even the map has lame descriptions of locations that don't really give you a good idea of where you're staying.
Before you can start exploring, or chatting away with your neighbors, a voice rings over old intercoms. It sounds low and comforting, like a long lost friend. But there's something about that that feels.. unsettling. A feeling in your gut that this voice was anything but friendly.
"Welcome, students. You must be very confused, but I assure you I'll be able to answer all the questions you have in just a few minutes.
For now, relax, explore, and meet your new classmates who will be staying with you during this semester.
Oh, but..... whatever you do, don't enter the dining room."
The intercom cuts off, leaving you with a cryptic message to think about on top of.. everything else you're dealing with right now.]

[He clearly finds his hero suit distasteful, even if it's rather tame by superhero standards. Too many bright colors for his liking.
Also, totally not admitting to trying to use an ability, nope.]
no subject
[ Hopping off the bed to both test his feet and get closer. He seems to be moving just find and he still feels like he's 5'11. It's honestly a relief he didn't shrink further in height. So he's likely still the same physically, right? ]
no subject
[But the suit is definitely going back into the trunk! The pamphlet is still out though, and if Wei snoops he'll be able to see that Ango's quirk is called 'Flawless'.]
no subject
As in reaching to grab it without any shame if Ango isn't quick enough. Yoink. ]
Maybe you should wear double glasses then, huh?
[ Flawless? What kind of thing is that? ]
no subject
One pair of glasses is enough.
no subject
Hey hey, what do you think they mean by you having a flawless quirk? It sounds like you might have an admirer~
no subject
[And he really hopes he doesn't have an admirer.]
Not that it matters, I have no need for something like a quirk.
no subject
[ He hopes he doesn't have an admirer since Wei Wuxian is a much better candidate for admiration.
Then again... with how this admirer shows affection, he'll pass. ]
There was a lot written in there. Maybe they have your measurements?
[ Reaching for it again. Gimme ]
no subject
[He doesn't know yet that it might activate on his own.
Also he's keeping the pamphlet away still, now leaning away from Wei's grasping hand.]
Please respect my personal privacy and do not touch my things.
no subject
[ A boo. There's a bit of a pout there before he bounces back with a grin as he folds his hands behind his head. ]
I'll let you touch mine afterwards~ [ A beat as his expression changes to oh ] Unless you prefer telling me yourself?
no subject
[He knows what Wei meant but he gets that innuendo. Interestingly, despite the scolding, the line is delivered with the same boring voice he has been using all this time.]
We have more important things to focus on than powers anyway. Like 'where are we' and 'how do we get out'.
no subject
[ There's a spark of amusement there in his gaze, while he tries to pretend he has an ounce of innocence. ]
I'm assuming we'll find that out as soon as our host makes themselves known. They did go through a lot of trouble to bring us here and give us presents.
[ He'll move over to his own chest to finally open it up. ]
no subject
[>T]
Their presents are not particularly useful. They probably relate to why we have been brought here. They may want to play dress-up with us.
no subject
[ Totally says innocent, right?
He'll check the pamphlet out later, but he does pull up the costume to hold it up to himself. ]
Whoa! It's my size! That's pretty creepy. You don't think they measured us while we were sleeping, right?
no subject
They had to, in order to get clothes in our size.
no subject
He doesn't seem to mind the flat look. ]
That's creepy. I don't know if I'll feel safe at night.
[ He's an innocent maiden and is totally clutching the costume to his chest like it's the only thing covering him up. ]
no subject
Nobody is going to do anything to you in a room with several other men.
no subject
They already did. They must have taken all of my measurements, see? I won't be able to marry a good man now.
[ He's been ruined ]
no subject
Having your measurements taken is the least of your worries as far as 'finding a good man to marry' goes.
no subject
It's important to me.
[ Sulk sulk sulk. Putting away the costume to finally pick up his information pamphlet to paw through. ]
Whoa! This place is pretty big.
no subject
[But he's also from a huge city, so this doesn't seem big to him.]
no subject
[ Bringing it over to show him. See the map? ]
It stacks up and is really wide.
[ Look they don't do high school stuff in ancient fantasy china. ]
no subject
[Though now he's looking at Wei more closely and noticing a few things about his behavior.]
Have you never seen a school like this before?
no subject
[ I have no idea if Japan exists in his world or not ]
I haven't! The only kind of school I've been to is a really boring place! They had an entire wall with all of their rules written on it.
