[Mei's drifting through, for the most part -- as she is with most things in the school, given that they have no classes, and no real aim beyond being apparent entertainment for a masked creep raising creepy creeper maid monsters -- and while she's been noticing the increasingly difficulty the other girl in the yard seems to be having with the pamphlet life (maybe relatable...?), she hasn't really given it much thought.

That is, until she gets flagged down, because of course she does. These driveby accidental social entanglements in the past day or so have probably met her entire socializing quota for the next three years. Nevertheless, she pauses, the nondescript notebook tucked under her arm riffling a little in the wind.]

... Probably not, if you ask like that.

Oh, I see. It's no problem, I understand. [Sonia even seems a bit relieved for the refusal, to the point she doesn't even try to convince Mei to accept. With a sigh, she puts her pamphlet on the bench] Frankly if I had been the one asked to help with this I'd probably refuse too.

[There's a small tilt of her head when Sonia just puts the whole thing down, request and pamphlet and all -- Mei looks from the paper over to its owner, a touch reluctantly. A touch more reluctantly still, seemingly, she dredges up a question. She knows what the pamphlets are, of course.]

This...? You're still doing it.

[Her objection doesn't seem especially forceful. Maybe dry, with the tone of an observation, like telling someone their hair has leaves in it.]

[Mei appears to take it at face value, or maybe she isn't interested in pursuing it. She's still standing where she originally stopped, facing away from Sonia and only occasionally glancing over.]
